Nabil Abad is a composition student, finishing his Bachelor of Music degree at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory. At BW, he has had the opportunity to study composition with faculty members Clint Needham and Jonathan Sokol. Recently, Nabil was named the 2019 winner of the Alabama Orchestra Association’s annual composition contest. In the summer of 2018, Nabil was a composition fellow at the Norfolk New Music Workshop in Norfolk, Connecticut.

Nabil has received performances and participated in workshops with a variety of ensembles, including the Kenari Saxophone Quartet, the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, and the Baldwin Wallace Symphony Orchestra. Nabil is looking forward to an upcoming performance by the Alabama All-State Orchestra and plans to begin his graduate studies in the fall.
