CSO MOURNS THE PASSING OF ANNE MELVIN

The Columbus Symphony celebrates the life of Anne Melvin—a cherished friend, long-time board member, and passionate supporter of classical music in central Ohio. Her enduring love of live classical music was matched only by her dedication to the community she held so dear.

Anne was a philanthropic leader who had a passion for the symphony and for the individual musicians of the orchestra.  Each musician knew that Anne was watching and would be coaching to ensure excellence was achieved on the stage.  She spoke her mind and challenged all of us, to be better than our best and to be better together!  Because of Anne’s leadership and generous support, the CSO today stands as a strong and healthy pillar of the central Ohio arts community and a crown jewel of her legacy.

We will forever be grateful for her remarkable vision and ceaseless faith in this organization, and will always remember and honor her contribution to ensuring the CSO’s place as an irreplaceable centerpiece of the Columbus arts core for years to come. Anne was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.  Our hearts are with her family at this sad time, and we join in their grief at her loss.
