For 25 years, more than 800 volunteers have been largely responsible for the production and promotion of Picnic with the Pops and Popcorn Pops, our outdoor summer concert series that reaches an annual audience of more than 50,000 people. Picnic with the Pops concerts run in June and July and are complimented with Friday evening Popcorn Pops concerts designed especially for children. In addition, the volunteer council is responsible for a pre-concert raffle that contributes to the Symphony’s education and outreach services.  Volunteer recruitment begins in May each year.
