Columbus Symphony Orchestra League

The Columbus Symphony Orchestra League is one of the orchestra’s most ardent support groups contributing more than $1.1 million over the past 29 years. The first $400,000 was endowed for the Harp Chair while succeeding monies have helped to sponsor concerts, provide assistance with the Music Library, purchase new instruments and to buy equipment needed for running a Symphony office. In the years to come the League is dedicated to “Creating a Legacy of Music for the Community while Raising Significant Funds for the Columbus Symphony.”

On Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, the CSOL held a Café Concert at the beautiful North Bank Park downtown Condos. This sold out event featured the Quartet Amici (CSO musicians) performing while guests overlooked the lighted Columbus skyline. On March 10th, 2011, Saks Fifth Avenue helped the League raise funds by providing members and their friends with a fashion style show presenting Kimberley Newport-Mimram (designer & president of Pink Tartan).

On May 22, 2011, CSOL held their second annual Symphony Golf Outing and “Afternoon on the Riviera” at Riviera Golf Club in Dublin, OH. This May 22nd event is the main fundraiser for CSOL. With all three 2010-2011 fundraising events, the CSOL presented a check for $ 50,000 to the CSO on June 14, 2011. With much hard work, effort, and focus during the year, the CSOL presented their largest donation in the CSOL history.

The CSOL women welcome new members to join their group in a mutual love of classical music and shared friendships supporting the wonderful Columbus Symphony. Please contact CSOL President, Carol Paul at 614-837-3030 or email her at JHPaul01@att.net for more information, or, contact past CSOL President, Deb Susi at 614-327-0721 or email her debsusi@gmail.com .
