Gifts Of Stock

A contribution of securities can be made to the CSO in two ways:

1. Electronic Transfer
You may instruct your brokerage firm or banker to transfer the shares electronically to the CSO’s account at Huntington Investments:

Please notify CSO’s Development Department of the name of the donor, name of the stock, number of shares transferred, name of the brokerage firm or bank making the transfer, and any restrictions or designations for the contribution.

2. Physical Transfer
If you are physically holding the stock certificate, you can sign it over to CSO directly.

Please contact the CSO Development Department and arrangements will be made to facilitate the stock transfer.

IRA Charitable Rollover

All IRA account holders who have attained age 72 or older may take tax-free distributions from a Traditional or Beneficiary IRA and donate the amount distributed to an eligible tax-exempt charitable organization. To take advantage of these tax benefits this year, simply direct your IRA plan provider to make a “Qualified Charitable Distribution” (QCD) to the Columbus Symphony by December 31.
