Recurring Gift/Columbus Symphony Champions

Repeat your impact with a recurring gift and become a member of the Columbus Symphony Champions! As Columbus Symphony Champions, your support on a monthly, quarterly, or multi-year basis will provide a dependable and stable foundation for our future, allowing the Columbus Symphony to rise to new heights and fulfill our mission to inspire and build a strong community through music. Gifts Of Stock

A contribution of securities can be made to the CSO in two ways:

1. Electronic Transfer
You may instruct your brokerage firm or banker to transfer the shares electronically to the CSO’s account at Huntington Investments:

Please notify CSO’s Development Department of the name of the donor, name of the stock, number of shares transferred, name of the brokerage firm or bank making the transfer, and any restrictions or designations for the contribution.

2. Physical Transfer
If you are physically holding the stock certificate, you can sign it over to CSO directly.

Please contact the CSO Development Department and arrangements will be made to facilitate the stock transfer.

IRA Charitable Rollover

All IRA account holders who have attained age 72 or older may take tax-free distributions from a Traditional or Beneficiary IRA and donate the amount distributed to an eligible tax-exempt charitable organization. To take advantage of these tax benefits this year, simply direct your IRA plan provider to make a “Qualified Charitable Distribution” (QCD) to the Columbus Symphony by December 31.

To make a gift, please:

  1. Send a letter to the IRA administrator requesting a direct charitable distribution to the Columbus Symphony in the amount you wish to donate. The letter should include the CSO’s Tax ID number: 31-6402408
  2. The gift should be sent to:

  3. Send the Columbus Symphony a copy of your letter to help us identify your gift when the IRA check arrives

Tribute & Memorial
 Giving

Tribute and memorial gifts to the Columbus Symphony are a thoughtful way to mark a life milestone or special achievement, or to honor the memory of a loved one. Your dedicated gift will be listed in the Bravo program book and online all season long. Major gifts can include a concert dedication or customized recognition and benefits.

Legacy Society

The Legacy Society acknowledges and honors dedicated music enthusiasts who, through bequests or long-term charitable giving plans, have chosen to include the Columbus Symphony in their legacy. Planned gifts from Legacy Society members bolster the financial strength of the CSO and offer individuals a means to secure their lasting impact on our community. As a token of gratitude, Legacy Society members receive exclusive benefits and invitations throughout the season, including:

  • Donor recognition in the Bravo Program Book and Annual Report
  • Opportunities to mix and mingle with orchestra musicians
  • Backstage opportunities to meet guest artists and get an insider’s view of the work of the CSO
  • Invitations to Legacy and other special events
