Live In New York was recorded the evening of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra’s historic Carnegie Hall debut performance, April 18, 2001. This sold-out concert in New York featured a cast of over 270 performers, including the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, the Columbus Children's Choir, and special guest artists violinist Vadim Gluzman and bass baritone Stephen West.

This popular compact disc includes "Prologue in Heaven" from Arrigo Boito's opera, Mefistofele, and Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 2.
